Odd mix of reality and game balance

There’s a ton of realism in the game. Shell drift, wind and current effects, armor types, all great concepts to work into a game. Unfortunately, the game balance aspects sort of spoil it. You can’t fire if you’re blowing smoke. You can only fire one type of weapon at a time. You’re always limited to three ships, so you wind up with odd fleet compositions, like three battleships with no anti-sub or AAA accompaniment. I’m also struggling with how carriers are used in the game vs. in reality. Even with the “start at long range” option set, carriers usually wind up within range of enemy battleship guns, which is usually a horrid failure for any real commander. Similar for subs (with the “long range” option cleared) starting right at torpedo range. It’s missing the strategic aspects of the Battle Fleet series; you can wind up facing the same ships over and over.

Super Salty game

The operability of the game is excellent, yet the game is play without too much study. The historical scenarios show true depth of planning and thought. Excellent game overall that works well on the iPad

Amazingly realistic and fun

Phenomenal and fun. It has some kinks to be worked out but the detail is phenomenal. -historically accurate -realistic ships -ships to scale -fun and unrelenting amounts of battle. My only suggestions for the next update would be to add some older and newer ships like the uss Texas and uss Missouri along with the hms vanguard.also some interactive island scenery couldnt hurt. All in all amazing game. I love it and you will too.

Great!

This game is great! Now its time for modern family naval warfare!

Difficult

Way too complicated. Lost the magic of the first game...boo.

USS Lexisington

Could you add the carrier Lexington?

Awesome Game

One of the best,(if not the best) naval warfare games Ive ever played on ANY gaming platform. Well worth the money... Excellent graphics and easy to learn how to play. Extremely easy to interface with the controls.... Pacific Fleet is equally good! I only wish the regular campaign was longer..

TAP-125

I love this game. The damage effects to the ships and secondary explosions resulting are incredible. The addition of the North Carolina was exciting. I would love to see the South Dakota class as an option. Both the South Dakota and the Alabama operated with the Brittish Home Fleet, and the Massachusetts off of North Africa. A few more American ships would be most welcome.

Ideas

Im thinking maybe the Graf Zeppelin and the New York class ships and the x-craft

I love this game.

I love this game. I really do. The effects are fun, the ships are realistic, and its so satisfying to send a battleship under after pounding at it for 15 minutes. The combat is great, its not too complicated, and its really one of the most fun games Ive played on the iPhone. Also, please, for the love of God, add splitting animations for sinking ships. That happened quite often during World War II. Otherwise, this game is flawless, and still earns five stars.

Great game

This is a great game. I see very little wrong with it. What I do see is that in campaign, you only get to command three ships a battle. Also German aircraft carriers, more us ships like battleships New York, Texas, battleships that took part in d-day, also German battleships are way to op. For starters Bismarck only had about 12 of armor on the belt instead of 18. And again I hear a lot of people who play the game say "I wish they would add this to pacific fleet." If you could do that it would be FANTASTIC

Great potential ...

...but, too complex to enjoy. Lacks the intuitive nature of Pacific Fleet. Gun ranges are wildly bogus and dont admit of logical resolution. Bismarck in repeated scenarios survives endless direct hits from barrages by broadsides from the 3 top allied BBs. Really!?!? Bogus bomber availability info--says 3 and permits only 1. Scenarios take way to long to play out. Carrier aircraft use overly complicated. Etc etc etc. Very disappointing after the totally enjoyable Pacific Fleet.

One of the best games

Atlantic Fleet is one of the best mobile games I have ever played and I hope that the flow of content and update stay consistent. I also have ideas for two new warship games. The first is a combination of all the warships used or not used from the U.S., Japan, Germany, and Britain and have them go against each other Japan vs US vs Germany vs Britain. The second is using all the never designs from those countries and still keep the US vs Japan vs Germany vs Britain . If this can happen I would be very happy. Plus it would be cool in later updates to add some French and Italian ships because the Italians fought the French and British and the French fought Germany and Italy.

Best Game Ever!!!

This is by far the best naval game I have ever played and the level of detail is AMAZING!!! For instance, I looked up the J, K, N class destroyer on Wikipedia and it said that one of its design faults was that the rear gun turret could not fire directly astern in like a 40 degree arc. Couldnt possibly be in this game right? Wrong. The designers really put a lot of time into making this and it shows. Definitively would recommend this game to anyone! :-)

Mr. Liu

Best navel battle game ever The game itself is great, so realistic. But for me I really want an aircraft carrier for German navel and some Italian, French warships, even Soviet ships.

Fantastic

If youre a person like me who enjoys military history, this is the game for you. Its not a "simulator" per se, but its about as close to it as you can get on a mobile device. Its very skill based and easy to learn and master, and the "Battle of the Atlantic" mode by itself is worth the price of this app. Its turned into a bit on an addiction for me and Ive been playing it for months.

Great Game!

Absolutely terrific game! Very fun. Unlike many games which tend to get boring and repetitive, Atlantic Fleet is still one of my favorite games. Though I do have some suggestions for future updates. For The Battle of the Atlantic game mode, it would be a lot more convenient if we had repair/rearm ships along with the "Milk Cow" submarines instead of having to haul the ships back to a port. Great game keep up the good work guys!

Best mobile game I have ever played

Sure, it is a little expensive, but this game has provided me with the most fun Ive ever had in a mobile game. It looks beautiful, plays well, has many nice little features, and doesnt have any pesky in-app purchases or ads or anything like that. The dev team is actively developing the game and responds to comments and questions. Seriously, get this game. BoTA mode and the many ship classes make the older Pacific Fleet look like it should get 4 stars.

I DONT UNDERSTAND...

...how there can be soooo much CRAP on the appstore that needs iOS 8.2 and an iPhone 5S and takes up a 1.8GB of space and looks and plays like CRAP and crashes to iOS desktop every other time you play...and then there is this amazing gem of a game that takes up a fraction of space, looks so yummy you wanna jump into the ocean off the Prince of Wales turret B on a hot day, and plays absolutely FLAWLESS and bugfree, even on my antiquated iPhone 4? I mean seriously what is Killerfish Games secret? I wish they would share with all the other game devs, but I can understand why they dont. As for the gameplay, it looked and seemed a bit daunting after looking at all the game options and tutorial titles and skimming the (59 page!) pdf manual off their website, but its real easy to pickup, even for an oldschool gamer like me. Im also a huge history buff and realism nut that has been looking for games like this one for 35 out of my 43 years on earth, I think the closest I came to it was Great Naval Battles on a 286 PC; at any rate I ak blown away by the awesome realism and the love of craft that the designers/developers have shown with this game, not to mention all ive listed so far! As a gaming nut that has spent close to $500 on games for my iPhone, this one is easily a top three of alltime game imo!!! Oh, and did I mention you get to play out the iconic Hood vs Bismark duel? Yep $10 bucks is pretty steep for an iOS game, but I would have paid double happily; dont waste time on the free Lite version, download this NOW

Amazing Game- now we need High Seas Fleet 1914!

I liked Pacific Fleet and this game is far better. I have dedicated countless hours to the Battle for the Atlantic and also took care of the campaign (which is akin to Pacific Fleet). How will they top this? How about a world war 1 version with even more upgrades and battle lines of 20 dreadnoughts! As it is you can stage fairly large battles in custom battle and also encounter formidable enemies in the game. This game is simply amazing, intuitive, and addictive!
